Everyone else knows what’s in the bag. You don’t.
JouluTunne started with a simple question: what would happen if you turned a tactile guessing game upside down?
One player reaches into the bag and explores one of the objects by touch… but doesn’t know what it is. Instead, they try to tell the other players as much as possible about what their fingers can discover.
Is the object long or short? Round or angular? Is it symmetrical? Does it have small details?
The other players, meanwhile, know what is in the bag. They follow their own list of possible objects and try to work out which one could match the description.
In this game, you don’t need to know the right answer. You just need to be able to describe what you can feel.
The same bag, a new perspective
JouluTunne grew out of the game mechanic used in SokkoTuristi.
In SokkoTuristi, the player knows what they are looking for and tries to find the right object in the bag by touch. In JouluTunne, the situation is reversed: the others know what is in the bag. The person doing the touching doesn’t.
One player knows what the object feels like. The others know what the possible objects are. Together, they have to connect these two pieces of information.
The result is a simple guessing game that gives everyone a different part of the puzzle.

Joulutunne is a heartwarming and hands-on tactile Christmas game that blends the magic of touch, imagination, and shared joy. Gather around to explore the cozy world of Christmas objects and make lasting memories together.
It is one of the games I develop at FiksuFox. It grew from the idea of exploring how the same tactile game mechanic could be used in a completely different way.
